Photography is a passion for me, that is true, but the best part of my job is the people I get to meet. My photographic journey began as a young child watching my grandmother in the darkroom developing and printing her large format film. The first time I saw the solution turn white paper into a beautiful portrait I was hooked. It was like alchemy. Digital has changed photography, has brought it to the masses but I still see it as an art. As such I am constantly experimenting with new things from digital infrared images to making real silver halide prints for clients who want something special, something beyond digital.
In addition to photographing weddings I am a game day photographer for North Carolina State University football, I photograph classical and jazz dancers dozens of times a year, take hundreds of portraits annually and sell hundreds of prints world wide.
